Remembering Chris's Birthday 2018

On March 18th we packed up the dogs and headed up to Payson.
Veronica, Chris's little sister was in town for spring break, so it was lovely to have everyone together.

Me, Chris and Veronica went to Dimi Coffee. We ordered white mochas, but Tom was out of white mocha syrup so he made us cookies and cream mochas- SO GOOD!

We picked up Nana and headed to El Rancho. Susie (Chris's mom) told them it was Chris's birthday so the wait staff came out to sing to him, much to his dismay. It was so funny when they came out, Chris started gesturing and singing to Veronica, which truly confused the teen boys that were singing. It took them a second to realize that they had been duped.

When the got back to the house, the javelina were there to meet us. It was a nice to see the herd so healthy looking.
The next morning, Chris and I went to go get coffee. While we where out, Susie called and told us to head to Rumsey Park because there was a bald eagle there. We got there just as she and Nana pulled in. I was lucky enough to have my camera. It was so neat to watch and listen to that bird.
When se got back to the house we decided to start painting. It was so much fun! Susie painted some hibiscis flowers. Veronica painted the most adorable picture! A little bunny and elephant touching noses- or nose to trunk. So cute! Chris painted a picture of Chloe. I painted two saguaros and a big fat kitty cat.
Chris picked up these nifty acrylic chalk paint for me- and it's so cool! I loved the finish of it.
We all had spaghetti for dinner. Nana insisted on only taking a small plate, but she filled it twice. She was so excited to have a special treat.

We were eating birthday cake for dessert, when a little visitor started up the porch steps- a javelina!

We took nana home on the way out of town. We walked her in so she show us where she keeps the elephant watering can that we got her for Christmas. She also showed me where she keeps the Valentine I sent her. She looks at it every day, and says it makes her feel so loved.
